Privacy, terms & accessibility
Current as of July 24, 2026
Stemry is a California-based pre-launch educational technology project operated by its founder. This page applies only to the public Stemry waitlist—not to a future Stemry application, account, or paid service.
Privacy Policy
Effective July 21, 2026 · Last updated July 24, 2026
Scope and operator
In this policy, “Stemry,” “we,” and “us” refer to the individual operating the Stemry project from California, United States. Stemry is not represented here as an LLC or corporation. The waitlist is intended for adults in the United States who are interested in college-level math study tools.
Information you provide
When you join the waitlist, we store:
- your normalized email address;
- your confirmation that you are 18 or older and agree to receive Stemry launch updates;
- the consent version and time of consent;
- a limited signup source, such as direct, LinkedIn, or another allowed source; and
- the status needed to manage the waitlist, an invitation, or a suppression.
If you contact us, our email providers process your email address, message, and anything you choose to include. Please do not send passwords, government identification, financial information, health information, or course records.
Information processed automatically
Vercel, our hosting and security provider, may process standard connection and request information such as network address, browser or device information, requested path, and request timing. To limit automated submissions, the Stemry server derives a keyed, short-lived rate-limit code from trusted connection information and the current ten-minute window. The Stemry application does not store raw IP addresses or browser fingerprints in the waitlist database.
This site currently loads font files through Google Fonts. When your browser requests those files, Google may receive standard connection information such as your network address and browser information.
How we use information
We use waitlist information only to:
- operate and measure interest in the waitlist;
- prevent duplicate submissions, abuse, and security incidents;
- manage possible early-access invitations;
- send the Stemry launch updates you requested once compliant email delivery is enabled, including limited feature previews directly related to launch; and
- respond to contact, privacy, accessibility, and consent-withdrawal requests.
We do not use the current consent for a general newsletter, partner offers, unrelated marketing, or product research. A materially broader email purpose would require new consent.
Service providers and disclosures
We use Vercel for hosting, request security, and aggregate traffic analytics, Supabase for the waitlist database, and Google Fonts for typography. ImprovMX forwards messages sent to our public contact address, and Google hosts the private destination inbox. These providers may process information only as needed to supply their services and under their own terms and privacy commitments.
We may disclose information if reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect the waitlist or its users, investigate abuse, or respond to a valid legal request. We do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or provide it to data brokers or advertisers.
Cookies, analytics, and tracking choices
The waitlist uses Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages and referring sites bring people here. It is cookieless: it sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. Vercel derives a visitor identifier by hashing connection and browser information with a value that rotates daily, so a visitor is not recognizable from one day to the next and cannot be followed to any other site. What we receive is aggregate counts, including the page address, referring site, approximate country, device type, browser, and operating system. None of it is linked to your email address or to a waitlist record.
The waitlist does not use advertising pixels, session replay, cross-site tracking, advertising fingerprinting, or non-essential cookies. Other parties are not permitted by Stemry to collect your activity across unrelated websites through this waitlist. Because we do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising, there is no sale or sharing opt-out for a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal to trigger. We will update this policy before adding cookies or tracking that changes these practices.
Retention, deletion, and withdrawal
An active waitlist record is retained until the earliest of 24 months after signup, an approved deletion or consent-withdrawal request, or the end of the waitlist or invitation program. Before outbound email begins, a valid deletion or withdrawal request will result in deletion of the waitlist record. Before any future email program starts, we will add a minimal suppression process so an opted-out address is not contacted accidentally and update this policy to explain that process.
Contact messages are retained only as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, document its completion, protect the service, or meet a legal obligation. Service providers may retain limited backup or security records under their own retention schedules.
Your choices and requests
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your waitlist information, or withdraw your launch-update consent, by emailing support@stemry.com from the address you used to join. We may ask you to confirm control of that address, but we will not ask for government identification when email verification is sufficient. We aim to acknowledge requests within five business days and complete them within the period required by applicable law.
Adults only
The waitlist is intended only for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect waitlist information from children. If you believe someone under 18 submitted information, contact support@stemry.comso we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
Security
We use measures designed for the limited information involved, including encrypted transport, server-side validation, restricted database permissions, row-level security, rate limiting, and minimized application logging. No internet service can guarantee perfect security.
United States processing
The initial waitlist is directed to the United States. Stemry and its providers process information in the United States and possibly other locations where those providers operate. We are not currently directing the waitlist to the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or other international markets.
Changes to this policy
We will post policy changes here and update the date above. If a change materially expands how existing waitlist information would be used, we will provide an appropriate notice and obtain new consent before applying the broader purpose to existing addresses where required.
Waitlist Terms
Effective July 22, 2026 · Last updated July 22, 2026
Acceptance and scope
These Terms apply only to the free public Stemry waitlist operated by the individual founder described above. By submitting the waitlist form, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not submit the form.
Eligibility and the waitlist relationship
The waitlist is optional and intended for adults 18 and older in the United States. Joining is free. It does not create a Stemry account, purchase obligation, employment relationship, partnership, or other ongoing commitment.
Joining does not guarantee an invitation, access, a launch date, priority, or continued availability. Stemry is under development, so descriptions, features, timing, and availability may change. Nothing on this waitlist guarantees grades, exam performance, admission, academic credit, or another learning outcome.
Acceptable use and removal
Do not automate or submit false entries, interfere with the site, bypass its security or rate limits, probe for other subscribers, or use the waitlist unlawfully. We may reject or remove entries associated with invalid information, abuse, or security threats.
Site availability
The waitlist is provided on an as-available basis while Stemry is in pre-launch development. It may be interrupted, changed, or withdrawn, and we do not promise that the site will always be available or error-free.
Stemry and third-party materials
The original site copy, artwork, code, and visual branding are owned by or licensed to the Stemry operator and may not be copied or republished in a way that suggests endorsement or ownership. Stemry is used here as the project name and is not presented as a registered trademark or corporation.
Research citations and external links point to material owned and controlled by third parties. They describe external findings, not outcomes achieved by Stemry students. A link does not mean Stemry controls, guarantees, or endorses the third-party site, and external content may change or become unavailable.
Changes and contact
We may update these Terms by posting the revised version here with new effective and last-updated dates. Revised Terms apply to future use of the waitlist. If a change would materially expand how an existing address is used, we will handle it under the Privacy Policy and seek new consent where required. Separate terms will replace these waitlist-only Terms before early access, accounts, or paid services open. Questions may be sent to support@stemry.com.
Accessibility
Statement effective July 22, 2026 · Last assessed July 22, 2026
Scope and commitment
This statement covers the public Stemry waitlist and this legal and contact page. It does not cover a future Stemry application. Stemry aims to make these pages usable with keyboard navigation, assistive technology, browser zoom, and reduced-motion preferences, using WCAG 2.2 Level AA as the target.
Assessment and current limitations
On July 22, 2026, the waitlist was assessed with automated accessibility checks and browser tests covering keyboard operation, responsive reflow, reduced motion, visible focus, form errors, and success messages. This is not a claim of independent certification or full conformance. A complete manual screen-reader review with VoiceOver and NVDA, including form feedback, remains outstanding.
Feedback and alternatives
If you encounter a barrier, email support@stemry.com and describe the page, task, and assistive technology involved if you are comfortable doing so. We aim to acknowledge reports within five business days, investigate them, and provide an accessible alternative where reasonably possible.
Contact
For general questions, privacy requests, consent withdrawal, deletion requests, or accessibility feedback, email support@stemry.com. This inbox is monitored by the founder, with a target of acknowledging requests within five business days.
